Geschiedenis

In de wederopbouwwijk Het Morskwartier werd in 1950 een nieuwe Hervormde wijkgemeente opgericht. Deze hield haar vieringen tijdelijk in de gymnastiekzaal van de Hervormde "Tijmstrachool" aan de Hoge Morsweg.

In 1955 nam deze gemeente de nieuw gebouwde Maranathakerk aan de Lage Morsweg in gebruik.

Het schoolgebouw is eind jaren 2000, tijdens de sloop van een groot deel van deze wederopbouwwijk, afgebroken.
